Firefly Solar started on the rooftops of Calgary. In 2016, thier construction company Kymand Roofing began installing solar panels alongside their roofing projects. What started as a complementary service quickly became the primary demand. Homeowners weren’t just asking about solar; they were lining up for it.
By 2022, the demand was undeniable. We established Firefly Solar as a dedicated brand to give residential solar the focus it deserved: its own engineering team, its own installation crews, its own service department. No half-measures.
Today, Firefly Solar serves 8,200+ customers across Alberta, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick with 750+ employees and offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, and Halifax.
