Qualifications:

• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification (Red Seal).
• ​3rd/4th Year Apprentice may be considered depending on experience/aptitude.
• Proven experience in installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems and/or heat pumps.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Brief Role Summary: 

• Service, repair, maintenance, and installation of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems for grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores, department stores, commercial buildings, fisheries, dairy bulk milk cooling systems as well as assisting on projects, larger installations as needed, and overflow heat pump installs.
• Working on equipment like walk-in coolers and freezers, rooftop units (RTUs), air handlers, heat pumps, ice machines, various convenience store and restaurant food service machines, exhausts, pumps, rack refrigeration systems and grocery store cases, other specialty refrigeration systems.
• Engaging with clients and delivering top-notch customer service with clear communication. Preparing recommendations and estimates and completing service documentation in a complete and timely manner.
• Working both independently and with our tight-knit team to ensure every job is done right and client satisfaction is achieved.
• We are a digital friendly business and work almost entirely on digital platforms for our work flows, scheduling, job tracking, estimates, client invoicing, timesheets. (Don’t let your bad handwriting deter you).
• Weekly on call rotation split amongst the team. Bonus offered per on call week plus any overtime worked.
• Opportunity available for cross training with certified gas technicians on staff as well as ductless heat pump installations.
